The concierge

At No 46 we plan to make like as easy and comfortable as possible. You may not want the hassle of having to look for fine wines, beer, water or food.

For your convenience we can offer a selection of three different packages that will be waiting in the apartment when you arrive, these must be ordered when you book.

Also you can order from our selection of wines, beer and water some of which you will already find in the apartment. If opened they will be charged upon departure. If ordered at the time of booking or 7 days before your arrival they will be in the apartment when you arrive.

WHITE WINES

Alsace

  • Sylvaner – Domaine Baur 2004
    Grape varieties: Sylvaner
    Subtle, refreshing wine with a pleasant acidity and an aroma of flowers. A good accompaniment to fish, seafood, vegetable dishes, starters, smoked meats.

  • Pinot Blanc – Domaine Baur 2003/2004/2006
    Grape varieties: Pinot Blanc
    Delicate, well-balanced wine with a very pleasant fruity taste. A good wine for all occasions and an excellent accompaniment to white meats and pâté. This wine was awarded the gold medal at the Salon in Colmar in 2003.

  • Pinot Blanc – Domaine Baur 2003/2004/2006
    Grape varieties: Riesling
    This pleasant fruity wine with a flowery bouquet is ideal with white meats, fish, seafood, escargots and frog's legs.

  • Mersault “Vieille vignes” – Domaine Alain Patriarche
    Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay
    A celebrated Chardonnay from the Bourgogne, this is one of the most popular wines from the Côtes du Beaune region. It has an elegant, rich and silky taste with a good length and creamy finish with vanilla overtones. Excellent as an accompaniment to fish, veal and white meats.

Alsace 

  • Pinot Noir – Domaine Baur 2003
    Grape varieties: Pinot Noir
    This rose-coloured wine, which reddens with age, has an aroma dominated by cherry and other berries with traces of wood. It won a silver medal at the Salon in Colmar. This refreshing wine is excellent with red meats, grilled meats and smoked meats.

Bordeaux

  • Haut Medoc – Messire de Fontesteau 2003
    Grape varieties: 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc
    This well-balanced and rounded wine, with an aroma of plums, cherries and thyme, has been aged 12 months in oak barrels. It is a good accompaniment to red meats, as well as roasted and grilled poultry. For best results, open 2 hours before tasting and decant the wine.

  • La Croix des Ducs 2004/2005/2006
    Grape varieties: Merlot 100%
    With a fresh bouquet of forest berries and a light trace of spices, this wine is excellent with roast meats and cheese.

  • Montagne St. Emilion – L’Eloïna-David 2004
    Grape varieties: Cabernet Franc 100%
    Aged 18 months in oak barrels, this wine features a rich and complex bouquet with tones of forest berries, spices and menthol. It won a gold medal at the prestigious French salon, "Le Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants" in 2002. It is ideal with game and red meats.

  • Grand Vin de Bordeau – Chateau Rambaud 2005/2006
    Grape varieties: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
    Aged 14 months in barrels, this wine has an aroma of berries, ripe plums and leather. It is a good accompaniment to game, lamb and cheese - particularly sheep's cheese. For best results, open the wine 1 hour before tasting and decant to let the wine breathe.

  • St. Emilion Grand Cru – Chateau du Barry 2005
    Grape varieties: 80 % Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc
    Wines from the vineyards surrounding this small village in St. Émilion are among the most prestigious in the world. This Grand Cru, which won a gold medal in the "Vignerons independents" festival, features smoky and woody overtones with a hint of fruit. It is lovely with red meats - especially game - and lamb. We recommend opening this wine an hour before tasting.

Cahors

  • Château Eugenie – Cuvée Reserve de l´ Aïeul 2003/2004
    Grape varieties: 95% Auxerrois, 5% Tannat
    The Cuvée l´ Aïeul is a typical wine from the Cahors region. This spicy wine has very pleasant tannins and a taste of forest berries. Aged 20 months in oak barrels, this wine is best served with lamb and game, and is excellent with cheese.

Côtes du Rhone

  • Côtes du Rhône – Château de Montmirail 2006
    Grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault
    This wine has an aroma of ripe red berries combined with Provencal spices and a hint of white pepper. It is a very pleasant wine combining fruitiness and tannins. Best served with grilled meats.

  • Châteauneuf du Pape – Domaine Mathieu 2004/2005

    This is a harmonious wine with noble tannins, a taste of gingerbread and an aroma of spices. Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a treasure among French wines. Serve with game or cheese.
